1Two essential competencies which are necessary for the associate degree nurse in the future is to serve as a health care advocate in monitoring and promoting quality and acess to health care for patients and their families and Secondly to communicate and collaborate with members of the interdiscipliniary team in a timely manner.

2Career planning is an ongoing process the plan will be as follows and it includes

• Self assess interests,skills,strengths,weakness and values.
• Determine goals.
• Assess the organization for opportunities.
• Assess the opportunities outside the organisation.
• Develop strategies.
• Implement plans
• Evaluate plans
• Reassess and make new plans as necessary.atleast biannually.
