Bleeding should be assessed by the health care proffesionals and act accordingly.If the bleeding is not stopping means the health care provider should performe other methods like:

1. APPLY DIRECT PRESSURE ON THE SITE:Apply direct pressure on the cut will help to stop the bleeding with clean or sterile gauze until the bleeding stops and if the cloth get soaked in blood in that case apply another cloth and apply pressure don't remove the previous cloth which will trigger the bleeding again.
2. APPLY ICE PACKS:Apply cold compress on the area which will help to stop bleeding as well as inflammation in the area.
3. ELEVATE THE PART:Elevation of the cut part (if possible) is a simple and effective way to control hemorrhage.
4. If the severe bleeding doesnot stop by these methods then apply direct pressure on the artery to stop bleeding along with the elevation.
