         Biofilms is defined as narrow type of microorganism or bacteria that grows on wet surface.Its formation provides protection of bacteria from antibiotics and host defenses. Biofilms plays a vital role in treating certain infectious disease.Biofilms are mainly seen in skin,mucosa and teeth.

         During the formation of biofilms different species communicated with other bacteria showed resistance against human immune system and antibiotics.Certain type of biofilms which include the Staphylococcus is very harmful because it produce toxins and highly resistant to antibiotics.Biofilms can cause variety of health issues starting from ear ache to bacterial infection seen in people with genetic disorder called cystic fibrosis.
