1) What can you use to help with difficulties to move clients?
2) How many times a day should you reposition client if you are alone?
3) A ----------- lift is the best lift to use.
1. There are many devices you could use to safely move patient alone for example a transfer belt and transfer sling that can help you to make the patient stand or sit. You can also use sliding sheet made from nylon sailcloth which slides on itself reducing the friction between the patient and the surface. A sliding board which you can use moving patient from bed to chair or from wheelchair to toilet.
2. The patient should be reposition every two hours to prevent tissue breakdown.
3 A Ceiling lift is the best lift to use because it is easier to use especially if you are alone and it reduces the strain on a nurse because the patient can be moved easily and safely from one location to another.
