Rashtriya swasthya bima yojana is a government run health insurance program for all Indian poor’s. This aim is to provide health insurance coverage to workers belonging to BPL category and their family members will be the beneficiaries under this scheme. Cashless insurance is provided here for both public as well as private sector hospitals. This project comes under ministry of health and family welfare.

Here it was founded that in one report, the expenditure, hospitalization and medicines are too high which should be excluded from insurance policies which is not affordable by BPL category.

Report also found that beneficiaries are from higher class and not targeted beneficiaries

So this program shows the failure of government policy
