1) Try to know the specific information of your audience. Then adapt the message accordingly to the audience while preparing the speech.

2) Be specific about the topic. Don't linger here and there with meaningless issues. It bores the audience.

3) Try to find common grounds with the audience. This will help in adapting analogies, vocabulary and proper dialect to the audience and also helps to avoid jargon.

4) If you are presenting slides, then try to make them understand by using pictures and not by words.

5) Be confident. This is the main thing that makes a presentation speech or anything like that successful.
