proposed changes to healthcare system under the current
administration:
- Nevada health link, the State's insurance marketplace, will
open its own state exchange in 2020 to sell Affordable Care Act
plans.
- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services has approved New
Jersey's reinsurance plan.
- The rates for 2019 Affordable Care Act plans in Massachusetts
are expected to rise an average of 4.2 percent.
- Senate democrats try to block short term health plans.
- People with pre-existing conditions will no longer be protected
financially.
- Medicaid would go back to being a program for just a fraction
of the poor.
- Insurance price would go down for some, but lower income people
would pay more than they currently do.
- Insurance plans could cover less.
