Answer #1

I hope you will rate my answer positively --

The correct option is b, on aging their is diminished gastric motility with increased stomach emptying time due to effect on gastric motor function, their is decrease in gastric contractile force and post - prandial peristalsis.colonic motility also get decline as it is regulated by contractions and relaxation cycle of smooth muscle. The liver blood flow and its volume also get decreases with age . Their is various changes in function , structure, and in hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells in liver with advancing age and risk of liver disease is also increased. With age the turnovers of enzymes are lowered ,synthesis may be decreased, their is progressive decline in diffusion of protein of hepatocyte and thus their activities also get decreased.

Thank you.

Which of the following statements about Phenylketonuria (PKU) are TRUE? I. Individuals with PKU will be deficient in the synthesis of Tyrosine II. Untreated PKU causes a serious reduction in Phenylalanine levels causing developmental abnormalities. III. Defects in Phenylalanine hydroxylase often lead to the loss of enzyme stability resulting in degradation by the Ubiquitin/Proteasome System.
