Nurse Sarah must make decision about who to save . Organize the patient into sections of those who can survive with minimal care and those that will not survive unless they are immediately evacuate.

According to the ultilitiarianism theory ,the action which provides happiness or pleasure is the right action rather than the other action which causes discomfort. It uses the principal of utility.

The nurse must save those first who has higher chances of survival if immediate care is provided like for example a patient is bleeding should be treated first rather than a patient who is in coma because survival rate of patient with bleeding is high.

It is done to utilise the scare resources and time for those patients who have higher chances of survival than wasting on patient who is critically ill.
