How does this story work as a fairytale "An Old Man With Very Enormous Wings"?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

One of the main reasons why the story "An old man with very enormous wings " be related to children or can work as a fairy tale is because it contains MAGICAL REALISM .

Although the message from the story is different, it symbolises how human respond to those who are weak and dirty, but it can be connected to the way children see it as fairytale is because of the addition of angel and the spider woman , there is an overwhelming sense of realism but the magical contrast of angel in the story is what children like , connect and recognize them.as pure fantasy for fairies.

Angels are often represented as beautiful winged figures ( wings are of great significance in the story) and this the what the author wanted to convey but ironically connecting it to the sense of age and disease making it a perfect story to learn something from even for adults.
