Answer #1

1). The term “discriminant value” refers to the value that determines the variables that discriminate between more than two groups. It is used in the research to determine such variables. For example, if a researcher wants to determine the variables that discriminate between the school children who decide to attend a professional school or start a business in the future, the researcher can collect the data on various variables prior to completion of their schooling. After completion of schooling, the students will fall into one of the two categories studied. Then the discriminant analysis is used to determine the variables that predicted the educational choice of students.

In a backwards selection process all variables with p-values from the t-tests > 0.05 get removed. A new regression analysis is run with the remaining variables. the variable with the highest p-value from the t-tests would get removed no matter what its p-value. A new regression analysis is run with the remaining variables. the variable with the highest p-value from the t-tests would get removed only if its p-value is > 0.05. Choose a question/problem you are interested in, come up with a testable hypothesis, and design a simple experiment to help answer this question. In your design, address the following: 1. What is your hypothesis? People infected with COVID 19 recover at a faster rate when given an injection of remdesivir than those that receive no injection or hydroxychloroquine. 2. Identify the following: a. Independent variable – what variable are you manipulating b. Dependent variables – what are you measuring; what...

Describe the process of isolating a variable in a formula. In your opinion, what is the greatest advantage in isolating a variable in a formula? Describe the process in general terms first( outline the steps). Then, mention how earlier concepts apply to this process ( for example, additive and multiplicative inverses.) Give an example that shows each step in the process. In physics , many equations contain multiple variables and we can often solve for each one. For example a famous...
