a) ANTIBIOTICS CONTRAINDICATED UNDER 8 YEARS OLD-

i) Tetracyclines ( drugs ending with -cycline) mainly doxycycline ,minocycline,tertracycline are contraindicated.

Beacuse -- it can cause deposition of chelate in teeth and leads to permanent brownish discoloration of teeth .

and also fluoroquinolone ( drugs endings with -floxacin) are contraindicated in under 8 years old.

Because it can leads to cartilage damage.

b)ANTIBIOTICS CONTRAINDICATED UNDER 18 YEARS OLD--

Fluoroquinolone(drugs ending having --floxacin suffix) mainly ciprofloxacin, levofloxcin have are mainly contraindicated as a first line drug under 18 years old.

Because--ciprofloxacin causes arthopathy (disease to bone and joint), skin rash,cartilage damage under 18 years old. So it is better to avoid.
