PDCA model

PDCA is four step problem solving process. This model advocated by Dr.Deming. So it is called Dening cycle, Demibg wheel or Plan-Do-Study -Act.

Plan : Establish the objectives and process necessary to deliver results in accordance with specifications. For example tuberculosis control In this establish the purpose and objective.

  • To reduce the incidence of tuberculosis through quality diagnosis and treatment.

Do: Implement process. Take actions to achieve the goal

Tuberculosis control actions are the following :

  • Early diagnosis of TB
  • Treatment of all people who have TB including drug resistant
  • Vaccination against TB

Check : Monitor and evaluate the process and result against objectives and specifications and report the outcome.

Identified the new cases of tuberculosis and monitor the objectives attained.

Act : Apply action to the outcome for necessary improvement.
