Answer #1

Water disinfection is done to use water for domestic purposes and especially making it potable to drink. For doing this the quality of water and the temperature is essential .Usually water from river, ponds, falls are pure water so it fits for drinking after purification but it is not in the case of water taken from the drainage or wasted water  .The quality of water is very low but it can undergo treatment process in the water treatment plant and purified to the most extent that fit for domestic use. The temperature of the water for purification should be already or approximately 5 degree Celsius to kill the bacteria in it.. If it is low bactericidal action will not be there. If very high can destroy the mineral contents .Hence the quality of water and temperature of the water can impact the disinfection process .
