The ANA has stated, "Education for those in the health-care professions must increase in depth and breadth as scientific knowledge expands" (Catalano, 2012, p.91) According to Catalano, there has been a lack of adequate preparation for educating clients with self-management concerns, particularly clients with chronic illnesses, and this lack of education is a serious violation of ethical responsibilities by health care providers. Do you agree or disagree with these statement and why? Is the failure to properly educate clients the fault of the Nurse? Does the Nurse's level of education matter? Why do you feel that way?
*Yes,I agree with the statement that, there has been a lack of adequate prepararion for educating clients with self-management concerns.Because of the scarecity of the nurses who are providing services at health care center.
*No,it's not because of the fault of nurse, eventhough nurse is well qualified and certified there is lack of time to provide education to the clients with chronic illnesses. If the health care centre provide facility of adequate number of nurses,it is possible to educate the clients with chronic illnesses.
*No it's not the nurses level of education matters, but the scarecity of nurses in health care center where they suppose to give health education.
*Nurse is engaging herself in duty shift to provide basic care to the clients it-self and unable to manage the education aspect separately.
