In the short story, lottery people are more bad than good .

It explains if people behave in a bad manner if they are a part of the bad crowd of people.people can act cruely if they are a part of large group. It also tells us evil can take place anywhere and in anyway.

Same happens with mrs hetchinson ,the people without knowing the reality throw stones on her ,even their own family members didn't wait for the reality to come out. They act cruely in masses , and thre stones.

In short people give first preference to anger than understanding, people act like wild beasts and forget the favours of their nears and dears . And thats why world is moving towards destruction now a days . If we consider the present situation of word the people are ignorent and are moving away from reality.

People are bad especially in crowds .
