Hello, can someone check my Character Analysis thesis statement please? Zora Hurston’s character Delia Jones is a hard-working washerwoman; that learns to push through oppression and finds peace at the end of her abusive marriage.

Zora Hurston’s character Delia Jones is the main character of the story "Sweat". She is a 40-45 years black woman who is doing a lot of hard work to survive or makes her living. She usually washes the clothes of the people to earn for her living.

Delia has married with Sykes whois very lazy as well as abusive. She wants peace in her life but she has also realised that it is not possible if Sykes is around. The only thing that she can do is now is hope that everything will be fine.

She uses to visit the church regularly and then after she turned into Christian. All she wants is a peaceful life in her little home that she has bought with all her savings.
