Protein is an important component of the cells of our body . They help in the build and repair of the tissues ,help in strengthening of bones , muscles, cartilage etc.
Knowing about protein consumption in kidney disease is important because in kidney disease, kidneys are unable to excrete out the waste products of protein metabolism. This causes accumulation of urea , creatinine, uric acid and ammonia which further causes renal failure. So, intake of . protein should be in a limited way according to the body needs in renal failure patients.
Dietary recommendation for renal failure patients are:-

b. Low protein diet.
c. Low potassium, phosphorus , sodium in the diet.
d Limiting salt in diet
e.Food rich in iron and calcium are adviced.
