yes , novel hormonal therapy can be combined with chemotherapy for metastatic prostrate cancer.earlier the hormonal therapy which majorly focused on either decreasing the production of adrogens or blocked the action of androgens on the cancer cells was used or the treatment was castration.The chemptherapy was used only when the hormonal treatment failed.But newer studies have found that when chemotherapy using docetaxel was done along hormonal therapy, the survival rate was higher than when the patients were given hormonal therapy alone,even the quality of life was better in patient who were given the combined therapy.
