Four types of fractures in children
1.Distal radial fracture:this is the most common fracture seen in children usually follows a simple fall, mostly in the region of metaphysis than involving the physis. Torus fracture or buckle fracture is the most common pattern
2.Greenstick fracture:as the name indicates , fracture occur similar as how we bend a green stick, it will break on outer side while other end will be bend. This type is greenstick fractures.
3.Supracondylar fracture:most commonly seen fracture around elbow in children. This type is important to recognise and give prompt treatment as there is a potential risk of vascular or nerve injury.
4 .Galeazi fracture:In this type of fracture radio ulnar joint dislocates with a fracture occurring at the junction of distal 1/3 and middle third of radius
