Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder characterized by hallucinations, delusions, and impaired thinking and cognitive behavior.

There is no known single cause of schizophrenia. It results due to complex inclusion of different factors like:

Biological factors, genetic factors, neurological factors, social and psychological factors and environmental factors.

Apart from these there are some cases of drug induced schizophrenia caused by excessive intake of marijuana and LSD.

Hence there is variety of causes responsible for this mental disorder. in this case patient feels manic, he or she have the sense of self centering and believes that he/he is supreme and always right.
