Described some of the methods of renewable energy that can be harnessed?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Some of the methods by which renewable energy can be harnessed include;

Human harnessing i.e. the use of the human power as it is not appropriately recognized for its potential as an alternative solution to our growing energy needs. We should use products that rely on human energy such as the bicycle, pedal-powered lathe or sewing machine more and more.

The use of the Gravity Light harnesses the power of gravity can be used to resolve the crisis of power.

Use of wind power to generate energy is another method that has been used and can be used more.

Use of solar power is also very important and ecologically friendly.

The main obstacle to solar and wind renewable energy is that the sources are not constant, in order to have energy available all the time we need storage of energy. Currently batteries are too expensive, and widespread adoption is not cost effective. From your knowledge of physics, what other means of storage may be used? How would you store and then recover the energy? Explain.
