Please explain the reasons why it matters if a drug is lipid soluble? Discuss completely.
The lipid soluble drugs have a great affinity towards the lipid bound protein .They can easily bind with them and increase the concentration of the drug where it is binded .The drugs inside this cannot be excreted .This is due to the Vd size .Moreover the cell walls are lipidemic so the drugs gave a great affinity on them and attaches to it easily when compared to the other water based drug or water soluble drugs. In simple the cell wall are lipid permeable so lipid soluble drugs can easily entertained and leave a cell compared to other forms of drugs.
