1) collagen dressings are made from bovine or porcine source are made into sheets,pads,powders,and gels to absorb wound drainage.

2) Antimicrobial dressing are topical Antigua and antibiotic agents that are available ointments, impregnated gauze,pads,gel,foam,hydrocolloids.

Before choosing dressing,ask these questions from yourself:

1) Will the dressing provide moist wound environment?

2) can it be removed without damaging fragile skin or the wound itself?

3) How long should it stay in place ,or how often does it need to be changed?
