First, let's differentiate all the detailed vocabulary about all
these cells we learned this week. When looking under microscope
what structural differences would you see between two types of
cells.
Now choose ONE cellular component (e.g. a part of a cell) that is found only in bacteria. Discuss what its role is.
Cellular component i choose is "RIBOSOMES":
These are microscopic structures that is found in all the cells including bacteria.Ribosomes can translate the genetic code from nucleic acids to amino acids.Proteins are the molecules that is useful to function of all the cells and microorganism.
Ribosomes in bacteria are similar in eukaryotes but they are different in composition and in molecular structure. Ribosomes are never bound to the organelles, but in eukaryotes ribosomes bound to endoplasmic reticulum and that is free distributed throughout the cytoplasm. Its main function to serve for the site of mRNA translation and in protein synthesis. It play major role in encoding of message and formation of peptide bond.
