Regarding logic, which of the following are arguments? If it is an argument, identify the conclusion of the argument.

The reason I forgot to lock the door is that I was distracted by the clown riding a unicycle down our street while singing Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

It is an argument. An argument is a set of logic reason given to support an action. In this argument the door was forgotten to be locked due to a distraction as a reason given for the activity not being done. the given reason should be relevant in order for it being logical and acceptable. In this case the clown riding a unicycle down our street while singing Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man”. This song or attraction to clown riding a unicycle is attention seeking and can be acceptable as a distraction form the door locking activity. So the conclusion is that, in order to lock the door a complete undistracted focus is required. Failure to focus and being distracted can lead to consequences such as door being unlocked.
