Thanqu for the question

while assessing the patient with oozing pressure ulcer, gloves and gown is enough to take care of the patients.

  • it is possible that the ue of disposable gloves with or with out the use of disposable or washable gown could prevent tranmissin of MRSA.
  • the gloves and gowns would be discarded after one patient had been cared for, and clean one used to visit the next patient.
  • the use of masks might also prevent spread of MRSA through the air.

At present there is no scientific evidence that the wearing of gloves, gown or a mask by people getting close to patients with MRSA reduces the transmission of MRSA to other peole in the hospital.
