CAUSES OF SECONDARY ANTI IMMUNITY:

1.BLOOD/BONE MARROW DISORDERS:This is the most common cause to develop secondary immuno defeciency.Diseases like LEUKEMIA,LYMPHOMA,MULTIPLE MYELOMA.These chronic diseases supress the immune system and can lead to many secondary infections.

2.MEDICATIONS:The medicines used mainly as immunosupressants as in chemotherapy for cancers,rheumatoid arthritis,multiple sclerosis,inflammatory bowel syndreome,psoriasis etc..

The other medicines can cause specific complications related to immune system itself,for eg;ANTI EPILEPTICS can cause antibody defeciency.

3.INHERITED DISORDERS:There are rare disorders such as Transcobalamine defeciency,gut lymphangiectasia.These are not immune defiencies but can cause loss of antibodies by failure of production.They can be treated with immunoglobulin therapies.
