-It is the process of collecting and analyzing information to develop and understand the issues, resources and of the priority population.

IMPORTANCE OF NEED ASSESSMENT:-
           - To determine whether the needs of the people are being meet.
           - To analyze where the people are and see what level of prevention a community has and if there was an effective intervention strategy in the past.
