Answer #1

The answer is very simple

a) We know that One US teaspoon = 5ml

Concentration of medication provided = 75mg/tsp

which can be also written as 75mg/5ml (Since 1 tspn = 5ml)

Prescribed dose per 8 hours = 250mg

Which means the individual dose in every 8 hour = 250mg / 75mg/5mL = 250mg / 15mg/mL = 16.7mL

b) We know that, HCP prescribes Augmentin 250mg by mouth 8 every hours which canbe written as 250mg/8hr

which means in a span of 24hours, total dose given would be 24hr x 250mg/8hr = 3 x 250mg = 750 mg
