Can be seen as due to high the arteries become hardened and narrowed as cholesterol plaque and calcium deposits in arteries i.e. (atherosclerosis), takes place the heart has to strain much harder for pumping the blood through them leading to an abnormally high blood pressure. Medications involve the use of Statins to lower cholesterol, the drug for type two diabetes such as insulin and drug for hypertension such as; hydrochlorothiazide (Hydrodiuril) chlorthalidone
