It works as the prescription is electronically send by the healthcare professionals to the pharmacist. The pharmacist uses software which enables them to read it correctly.

The major goals of the e- prescribing process are:

  • To improve the patient safety.
  • Reduce the medical errors
  • Improved workflow in the pharmacy.
  • Increase the patient ability to get their medication records.

The software that is being used, auto correct the spelling so it reduces the medication dispensing errors. It also enables the pharmacist to have records about the drug and medicine dispence to the patients.
