Doctors and nurses have different roles in the hospital. Their training is different, and so are their responsibilities. It’s also true that patients choose their doctor and only end up with a particular nurse through the luck of the draw. But when a doctor and a nurse disagree over patient care, should the doctor always prevail? Please discuss what a nurse should do when he or she disagrees with a physician's written orders? What action should the nurse take to protect the patient's safety?

1. yes the doctor is always prevailing. he was prevailed upon to give the account of his work. he can mention the patient codition also.

2. if a nurse finding any discripancy in written order then he or she can directly consult wirh doctors for the change.

3. the action nurse can take is

• immediate call the consultant for help.
• if any changes required please mentioned over there to the consultant.
• compare the patient status before and after medication.
• discuss the patient vital sign and condition again.
• if the doctor is not willing to change then call for a meeting and present the same scenario infront of the board of members of the same hospital.
