The nursing care plans in the treatment of jaundice majorly includes steps in preventing the progression of condition, providing support and information to family, maintaining physiological homeostasis with bilirubin levels declining to preventing complications.

The assessment steps are perfomed first which includes:

. the physical examination of the child, in which the yellow color of body, irritations, lethargy, shrill cry, etc are monitored.

. Teaching the parents and family about the facts and reasons because of which the child is having jaundice.
