EOH (the Environmental and Occupational Health) practitioners need a firm grasp of basic epidemiological principles in their daily work as epidemiology is the branch of medicine dealing with the incidence, distribution, and possible control of diseases and other factors relating to health. Epidemiologists are required to be skilled in aspects such as design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, and communication of findings (CDC). Environment and occupation play an important role in the spread of a disease.
