Liver cancer cannot be diagnosed by routine blood tests. There is only one specific blood test which can be used toward a diagnosis of liver cancer . This test specifically measures for the levels of the protein alpha-fetoprotein in serum(AFP).

Imaging tests: your doctor may reconnend imaging tests , such as an ultrasound, CTand MRI.
