There are many risks and benefits associated with antibiotics in digestive system.

Risk of antibiotics in digestive system:

The intestinal miccrobiota plays an important role in physiological process of the host. They protect against pathogens and plays beneficial role in development and maintenance of immune system of the host. The antibiotics can change the microbial composition resulting in physical and chemical changes in body. These changes can triggers for some diseases.

Benefits of antibiotics in digestive system:

The antibiotics can fight against the infection causing microbes and also they can upset the balance of bacteria in the microbione. They can either inhibit or prevent the growth of microbes that cause infection.
