Talk about a time where you felt your identity had been threatened (even temporarily) by an illness or injury. How did you react

Homework Answers

Answer #1

A time where I felt my identity had been threatened by an illness was due to the post-traumatic stress disorder that I had leading extreme anxiety when I suffered from a car accident while I was sitting in the car along with my family and we were driving from Arizona to California. Due to loss of control over the brakes, this accident happened in which my father who was driving and my mother who was sitting in front were critically injured and I who was sitting at the back was only slightly injured. Due to this accident, I suffered from the post-traumatic stress disorder and I became so disturbed that I was not able to think normally and identify myself and family. For recovery, I was taken to a psychologist for counseling for several months after which I recovered.
