Answer #1

We are living in a technologically advanced society where digital sources of communication are easily acessible.Nurses like anyother health professionals while navigating through social media sites should maintain some basic etiquettes of the profession, because nurses serves as positive representation of their place of employment as well.So if social media is not properly used it could lead to discipliniary actions and will have a drastic effect on the nurses career and license.Since most social media systems present security problems open sharing of sensitive and confidential information leads to conflict with HIPAA.It also tends to create a false sense of security for nurse who believe that they are voicing their opinions under the protection of privacy settings..Even if a nurse gains permission from a patient to take pictures, employers can still take action.
