Falls are the most frequent and damaging issue reported among patients in hospitals, especially in elderly ones. Clients in long-term care are also prone to falls. Most of the hospital falls end in injuries including fractures and head trauma. It can also affect psychologically making the individual lose confidence, slow downing the recovery time, lengthening the hospital stay.
