How does NonVerbal communication" important for EMT's?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Emergency Medical Technicians often come across situations where verbal communication is not befitting. In such situations, verbal communications would cause more harm and the patients would not be able to tolerate it and could make their condition worse. Such irreparable harm can be avoided with the use of nonverbal communication. Actions can speak volumes and are more effective in these cases where the patients are often seen fighting for life. Proper communication with the patient and the first-hand information from this communication is a necessity for proper treatment in all emergency cases.
