Australian Aboriginal people have poor quality of diet leading to cardiovascular diseases, cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Another cause is unhealthy life style such as lack of exercise smoking and genetic predisposition to diseases.such as diabetes due to obesity also.

The torres Strait Islander people are almost four times more likely than non-Indigenous Australians to have diseases such as diabetes due to poor diet, low physical activity, genes and being over weight.
