The first nursing intervention is to clear airway.

Nursing Diagnosis: Ineffective airway clearance related to impaired respiratory muscle function.

Nursing Interventions:

1. Assess airway patency.

2. Remove any block using index and ring fingers if present.

3. Position patient in chin lift position if there is no damage in spinal cord or head.

4. Close nostrils using non-dominant index and thumb fingers and mouth with light cloth.

5. Perform CPR in 5:2 compression:breathing ratio until breathing lis restored not for more than 30 minutes. Ensure pressure don't exceed than required.

6. After victim regains breathing, immediately shift him for medical supervision.
