Joint commission was founded in 1951, was created by joining the Hospital Standardization Program with same or alike programs run by the American College of Physicians, Hospital Association, Medical Association, and the Canadian Medical Association. It continuously improve health care by providing safe and highest quality of healthcare.

It measures the treatment standards of the various medicare and healthcare. There are more than 250  hospital accreditation standards available.
