Excessive presence or absence of dietary folic acid may regulate MTX metabolism, possibly leading to unexpected adverse reactions. In this review, we focus on MTX , isoniazide and calcineurin inhibitors, and the implications of potential food–drug reactions in rheumatology, suggesting the important role of nutritional evaluations in RA patients.
