Congenital adrenal hyperplasia is a congenital condition that occur in children that results in the limiting of the secretion of specific hormone like aldosterone and cortisol while increasing the androgen level in blood .

It is a life threatening condition in children. The major chemical investigation include the investigation for abnormal reduction in the value of aldosterone and cortisol. This abnormal reduction in level of cortisol and aldosterone will confirm the diagnosis along with the sex hormone test which when elevated results in abnormal bodily development.

There will be 11-beta-hydroxylase deficiency which is specifically is indicated by increased concentrations of 11 deoxycortisol and deoxycorticosterone which are used for diagnostis if the sex hormone and precursor level Are Considerabley high . This indicates CAH
