Answer #1

Since medical sociology, also known as health sociology, is the study that is directed at finding the social causes and consequences of health and illness. The Affordable Healthcare Act provides income-based premium subsidies for those who purchase insurance on their own through the marketplace. Thus based on the social cause of economic poverty subsidies are provided on the premium. Further, the Affordable Healthcare Act aims at generating an awareness among the people to adopt a healthy lifestyle such as proper diet and physical activity. Thus the Affordable Healthcare Act intersects with medical sociology as it gives relaxation and subsidies in premiums based on the economic condition and aims at the development of a culture of a healthy lifestyle in the population.
