Question #3: Why is accreditation necessary for health care organizations? How does it assure the public that they will receive high quality care? Again, give an example of an organization where accreditation is available.
There are different standards of quality that should be maintained in a health care facilities that ensures that the organization provides the best care to the patient but unless and until the patient is admitted, won't be able to know the quality of care that is given in that organization. So, as patient can be ensured by just knowing the level of certificate organization has, he/she can know about quality of care that is provided by it and that is why accreditation is necessary.
There several grades that accreditation has like grade A, B and C. There are several standards that have to be met inorder to get the A grade and if the organization has A grade then a patient can know that the organization provides best quality of care as it has the level A accreditation.
Example is Lotus hospital that has the level A accreditation.
