Obesity in children means children are overweight according to their height and weight.It mainly affects children and preadolescents.

Contributing factors

1) Diet: Children who are taking high calorie and high fat foods such as fast foods, sugary foods,baked foods which increases fat on the body.

2) Lack of physical activity: Inadequate physical activity causes children and adolescents become obese.This is mainly after living a sedentary lifestyle like watching television, playing electronic games.

3) Family factors: Those children and adolescents belong to an obese family, there are chances of obesity and overweight as they consume high fat foods.
