High changes in mood is the period of mania and low changes in mood is the period of depression. The mood swings can affect sleep, behaviours, energy level, ability to think and concentrate and Judge. Patient of bipolar disorder engaged in risky behaviours such as inappropriate sexual behaviour, gambling with excessive spending of money. The bipolar disorder patient has decreased need for sleep spending three or less per night. Most of bipolar patients have inappropriate dressing such as wearing bright red dress to a funeral. Some patients refuse to get dressed in morning due to mood swings.
